The College of Law at Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) was established for morning and evening study and accepts graduates of preparatory studies from the following streams: biological, applied, scientific, and literary.

The college's admission rate will be 64.5%.

May God's peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. As we enter the third decade of the twenty-first century, and in a serious effort by our college to keep pace with scientific and technological progress, a series of measures and decisions have been taken to raise the academic level of our college and keep pace with the latest developments in legal sciences at the national, regional, and international levels.

Although the college was founded in 2023 and welcomed students in the 2023-2024 academic year, it strives to develop students' skills and keep them informed of the latest developments in the world of law and its various applications, utilizing modern technologies. You are worthy of this responsibility, and you, as the nation's leadership intended, are the knights of change who will contribute, along with others, to building your beloved country and elevating it to the ranks of advanced nations.

 Finally, it is necessary to point out that the college is keen, through this website, to keep its esteemed visitors informed of everything new and useful regarding its activities, plans and programs, and that it promises to continually develop the services of this website to meet their need for knowledge, hoping that visitors to this website will find what they are looking for in it, as it is our media portal to introduce our college, its various objectives and its academic activities.

The College's Mission:

To disseminate legal culture throughout society to ensure the implementation of laws, regulations, and instructions. To prepare qualified and trained legal graduates who possess legal intellectual capabilities, research skills, and professionalism to advance legal tasks and support governmental and non-governmental institutions. To prepare lawyers who will ensure justice within society, a priority for the College is to focus on the academic sobriety of the courses taught at the College and to fully prepare graduates to carry out this legal mission.

Therefore, the college accepts only high school graduates, both scientific and literary, with high grades. Graduates are thus equipped with the legal knowledge to practice any legal work, whether civil or governmental.

It is worth noting that the ethics of public service are taught within legal studies and within the study of administrative law related to the duties and obligations of public employees.

In the field of political science, the College works to prepare specialized personnel with political knowledge, enhancing political culture and analytical ability to identify and define positions at all levels, as well as the ability to manage state affairs and link theoretical studies to real political data and events.

 Disseminating legal culture in society and offering distinguished academic programs in the field of law, supported by knowledge, skills, and professional ethics, through qualified personnel capable of keeping pace with local and regional standards. This will support public service in the various branches of the state's administrative apparatus, as well as meet the private sector's need for legal personnel.

To fully prepare graduates to carry out this legal mission by focusing on the academic rigor of the subjects taught at the college. This is part of its scientific, national, and humanitarian mission to serve society, contribute meaningfully to democratic development, and establish the foundations of human rights and public freedoms in Iraq.

The College's Vision:

Working to establish a broad societal legal culture by spreading legal awareness and providing society with staff capable of laying the foundations of justice and equality within a civil society. The College also intends to maintain a distinguished and prestigious position and a prominent academic standing, serving as a beacon of light and guidance, in terms of its scientific and practical educational foundations, commensurate with its authenticity and standing among the country's peer law colleges, as a well-established college with a long history.

The college also seeks to achieve excellence and leadership in the field of political science and scientific research, in line with the University’s mission and vision. This is achieved by strengthening and deepening the teaching of scientific political knowledge, including the principles, rules, and mechanisms of public affairs management (governance) in Iraq and various countries around the world, both theoretically and in political practice. This will result in the preparation of specialists through solid scientific curricula and at a high level of scientific and political maturity, who can serve our country. The college also seeks to develop scientific research curricula and provide consultations in the field of political science by providing its graduates with academic and practical qualifications that enhance their capabilities in this field.

Mission:

Preparing and graduating a specialized legal staff, deepening scientific research in various legal disciplines, consolidating the concept of the rule of law in the country, disseminating the culture of justice and protecting the rights and legal status of individuals, achieving the highest level of interaction with the community to ensure the provision of the best service and making the college productive, and strengthening cultural and academic ties with academic institutions to achieve the required accreditation for the quality of higher education.

College Objectives:

The College aims to prepare specialists to practice legal professions in various areas of public service, to undertake work that involves the application of applicable laws, to develop highly qualified specialists in various branches of law, to encourage scientific research in the fields of legal study, and to motivate and develop the legislative movement in the country. The College also seeks to provide an appropriate academic environment to encourage students to innovate in various branches of legal sciences by adopting advanced academic methods and programs, contributing to the graduation of qualified and trained personnel capable of practicing legal and Sharia work and familiarizing themselves with the latest developments in the field of law.

To contribute effectively to spreading and developing legal literacy in society through lectures and seminars for legal specialists in various government departments and governmental and non-governmental institutions, and to provide legal and specialized advice, such as explaining laws, expressing legal opinions on judicial decisions and rulings, and providing legal advice and information to those seeking it, in order to achieve justice and reveal the truth.

   The college also aims to prepare qualified specialists for research and analysis in the study of political science, equipped with a scientific approach and the ability to conduct academic research and investigate scientific truth in the fields of political thought, political systems, the Third World, and international studies. It also aims to prepare specialists to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, universities, international and regional organizations, and in positions related to media, public relations, and the teaching of human rights and democracy. It also aims to encourage scientific research in the fields of political studies and provide scientific consultations to relevant ministries and government departments, international and regional organizations, and civil society institutions.

Provide distinguished university education and effectively contribute to the production of innovative scientific research that serves society, generates knowledge, and achieves quality in various legal disciplines. The goal is to develop legal sciences and their diverse legislative applications and disseminate legal knowledge to individuals and institutions in society, thus strengthening our national identity. It also aims to prepare specialists to practice legal professions in various areas of public service, as well as to prepare highly qualified and distinguished legal professionals to serve society and the state in the legislative, executive, and judicial fields.   It also aims to participate in state administration by enabling its graduates to assume legislative, political, and administrative positions and decision-making positions.
